Art or Sex?

Image
It is real that no one chooses a craft : in fact, a craft , whatever could be this, chooses man. And, through the craft he defines his personality expressing himself. But, what if a man doesn't have a craft, so is he unable to express it? Or sex can replace a craft? In art, artists just don't express themselves through their art, and it seems that these need different means to exposure their concepts or ideas, above all, themselves. Sex is the primary and primitive one of these? Art or Sex mirrors the need of a man to express himself either through creativity or the most primitive self-expression as sex, and in some cases none of these means are enough to satisfy his urge for expression, and he has to recur to murder. The Crystal Ship Review

Image
Since Frances uses the very poetic language of fairy tales and fables, it may be necessary to read this book more than once before the reader completely understands the narrative thread. So, for the sake of convenience, here is a chapter outline (omitting 10 and 11, which are largely rhetorical). 1. A child playing in a garden wanders among some oak trees, soon finding himself lost in the woods. He tries to hide behind a tree, but its branches open up like arms. The boy then witnesses a strange parade of men (or perhaps angels), leading a man dressed in rags whose rags burn him alive. 2. The reader learns the child is named Frederick , and that he'll be referred to in the narrative as Our Wise Man. He has been a handsome youth, but now he's growing older. Frederick sits in his parlor contemplating his relationship with the young man he mentors. He falls asleep and dreams about a courtroom with walls that appear to be made of a blue gas. Frederick sees a trial being ...

Some Answers From Oliver Frances (part 2)

What about The Cursed Poet ? My new story is about a singular persona who trudged on his path to recognition, and when he made the grade, suddenly his downfall starts, until he vanishes, and no one knows his whereabouts, nor whether he is still alive or not -although his death is reported. There, the legend begins, and it strengths when some people claim to have been seen him alive, meanwhile his works start to gain recognition again. In his writings, he grants his legacy to the world. What do you look for? Love, The greatest energy. A writer like you is ill-tempered? Not absolutely. I am easy-going person. What are you reading now? Everything that falls into my hands. Still Coca Cola is your preference? Absolutely. With whom do you prefer to be? With a lovely woman (laughter).

Changes (article)

A change might be defined as passing gradually into something completely different from what is in the beginning; or it could be thought of becoming this altered or modified overnight. Regarding this, I mean that any change, no matter its nature, can be progressive or just a rough pull; but, eventually, it is a change. Changes are imperceptible in the majority of times, because when these are noted they have already changed a situation, and these becomes a part of or a whole. But, changes aren't sometimes appealing either; on terms of that these usually take a person out of his comfort area -what is upsetting. And, this is one of the reason, not to label it as the main, for people to push opportunities aside, which might come along through events or others, and they remain in their former status quo . It implies same job post for years , fears for not to change a state or a country -even a neighborhood, not to embark on any relationship which could change the rail over you...

Love Is Forgiveness

Perhaps one could find hard to forgive another after a bitter and suffering experience between them or a painful break-up . However, there is no an existing thing or happened event that can’t be forgiven. Those who don’t forgive are exposed to live inside their own hell.   It’s ironic, at least, not hilarious, that in many cases what should be forgiven is a silly thing. So don’t bog yourself down on account of your stubbornness about your belief that events or things have to be as you think.

Some Answers From Oliver Frances (part 1)

Oliver Frances begins to write on his teens. His first short story was an epic one, inspired in chivalric romance books. As time went by, his themes are based on emotions, conveyed on Summer Love; and from the experience derived of his travels, and political and social issues being one background for all unfolding drama in the stories featured in Century’s Endings. Surprisingly, Oliver went on to romance publishing short stories that are part of the series of Heart & Souls, though. All the stories of Heart weren’t appreciated by the readers, despite having great editorial reviews from severe critics. The fact lingers of that Frances, as one reader writes, have written stories that differ so much from contemporary American literature. Hence, the reader loves or hates them, unfortunately there is no in between. Anyhow, this didn’t refrain Oliver from releasing Heart II. In his latest works, is evidenced a change about themes. Now, his stories convey drama but through spiritu...

Life-Death-Structure

The Cursed Poet

Image
Written in the 90’s, the story foretells a new world coming in the 21st century, describing technologic advances but, anyhow, it reveals still man’s weakness over death. Even though, The Cursed Poet predicts a world nuclear conflict, it is a story that tells about the life of a writer whom misfortune shapes his days until he reaches the zenith of his own success to start his downfall. This famous personage in disgrace vanishes suddenly, so that his death is reported. There, the legend begins and eerily his writings and controversial ideas gain reputation again. Apart from telling a story, The Cursed Poet exposes poignant but realistic concepts and exalts the importance of Art. Available on:  Amazon
